Biography
Dr. Kozauer graduated from The College of New Jersey and went on to earn his Medical Doctorate (M.D.) from the New Jersey Medical School. He completed his Adult Psychiatry Residency at Georgetown University Hospital where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed a research and clinical fellowship in Neuropsychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Medical Center where he remains on faculty.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Kozauer serves on the faculty of the Johns Hopkins Medical Center’s Department of Psychiatry as a part-time Assistant Professor in the Division of Geriatric and Neuropsychiatry. He remains credentialed at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Additionally, he serves as the Director of Neuropsychiatry at the Copper Ridge Outpatient Assessment clinic. Dr. Kozauer is also involved with the Institute conducting research and is involved with clinical and teaching activities. At Georgetown University, he is active in educational activities.
Dr. Kozauer has twice won the “String of Pearls” award at Georgetown Medical School voted on by medical students for excellence in teaching. He also has won the Outanding Resident Educator Award from the Department of Psychiatry at Georgetown.
