Biography

Marcie L. Koenig, NHA, LCSW-C, is currently the Executive Director of Copper Ridge, a 126-bed Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing community, which is dedicated to the care of persons with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory impairing illnesses. Copper Ridge, which employs approximately 180 individuals in such departments as Nursing, Dietary, Social Work, and Activities, also serves over 800 outpatients who are evaluated and provided follow up care through the Johns Hopkins Neuropsychiatry and Memory Clinic at Copper Ridge. Copper Ridge has become widely known and acknowledged for the unique Model of Care© provided to those served.

Mrs. Koenig received her Master’s Degree in Clinic Social Work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1995, and is currently licensed as a Certified Clinical Social Worker. She has dedicated her career to working with adults with memory impairment and their families. She earned her Nursing Home Administrator license in the State of Maryland in 2003, and has been the Executive Director of Copper Ridge since 2004. She has spoken at numerous local, as well as several national, conferences on dementia related topics.
