Biography

Allan A. Anderson, MD, serves as the Medical Director for the dementia program at The Gardens of William Hill Manor. He also serves as a consultant for the comprehensive area at William Hill Manor Retirement Community. He currently has admitting privileges with Dorchester General Hospital, and serves as a consulting staff member at Memorial Hospital in Easton.

Dr. Anderson is active in the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry(AAGP), a national organization representing geriatric psychiatrists and other clinicians, educators, and researchers in the field of geriatric mental health. He was elected and served as President-Elect during 2010, and President from 2011-2012.

Dr. Anderson has published numerous articles and lectures regularly, locally, and around the country. He received the Distinguished Fellow of the APA in 1997. At the Samuel and Alexia Bratton Memory Clinic at The Gardens of William Hill Manor, Dr. Anderson has lead several clinical trials of novel medications for Alzheimer’s disease.
