    The alzcast.org  site is designed to empower its audience with information about Alzheimer’s disease and educate the caregiver on how to  manage their loved ones care. Caregivers are encouraged to seek early diagnosis and communicate openly with their physician. This proactive approach can lead to early treatment in the disease process and delay placement in an assisted living or nursing home settings for several years.  Click here to visit the site.

  • Copper Ridge Outpatient Assessment Clinic - diagnosing patients and supporting families since 1994

    Located in Sykesville, MD, the Assessment Clinic performs a thorough diagnostic work-up and then provides family members with detailed information about the patient’s diagnosis, prognosis, recommendations for current treatment, coordination of follow-up care in collaboration with the primary care physicians and recommendations for ongoing care in the community.  Operating five days a week, the clinic is led by Nicholas Kozauer, MD.   • Requard Nurse Educator of the Eastern Shore

    Raising the bar of dementia care on the Eastern Shore of Maryland  for families and professionals. A full time nurse educator is designing a program of community outreach for professionals and families on the Eastern Shore. This program involves education, and skills training addressing each stage of the Alzheimer’s disease journey.
